Hespeler : Portrait of an Ontario Town, co-authored by Kenneth McLaughlin and Kristel Fleuren. Published in 2001, it sold out in just two months! If you want to get your hands on this exceptional Centennial production, Dr. Mc Laughlin has produced a second edition, enhancing the original with more info and photos. Included in the new edition is the CD Rom A Driving and Architectural Tour of The Old Town of Hespeler. Created in 2006 by Dr. McLaughlin and based on his interviews with Wm. (Bill)O'Krafka, the tour highlights historical Hespeler homes and buildings as they were know to Bill.

Both the CD alone and a printed version of the Driving and Architectural Tour are also available.

 

The Hespeler Old Boys Nickname Treasury::

Compiled by the late Dave Dougall and based on a list put together by Percy (Punch) Harvey & Jack Courtney this is a virtual who's who from the old town. A fun little book to bring back laughs and good memories.

By the late Winfield Brewster, former Town Clerk, Tresurer of the Hespeler School Board, an influencial businessman and known as one of Hespeler's leading citizens through the first half of the 20th century. This is one of 6 folkloric books he published in his lifetime and we are proud to make it available for future generations.

by William Carr O'Krafka. Bill was a dedicated historian, Hespelerite and TCON member. Sadly Bill passed away in July 2003. However his book lives on and is available for sale through the Heritage Centre whenever we are open.

This CD documentary, created and compiled in 2002 by Melissa Brake-Cheater it provides a unique information resource in a slideshow format profiling Hespeler from 1900 to 2000. Melissa created this CD when she was an award winning high school student.

The Company of Neighbours :: Revitalizing Community through Action-Research Published in 1999 by C. Kenneth Banks and J. Marshall Mangan. This is the first book produced by the Company of Neighbours and also the cause for the founding of the organization.
